About NLSIU
The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), established in 1987, was the first institution in India to offer a five- year intensive course on social sciences and law. NLSIU has consistently been ranked as the leading institution for legal education in India and has established a marked presence for itself in the global arena. Several of its students have pursued higher education institutions as Harvard and Oxford on prestigious scholarships such as Rhodes; and several others have made a name for themselves in the practice of law in India and abroad.

One of NLSIU’s core pillars is its mooting culture. The Moot Court Society, in addition to organising inter-university selection rounds and TIAM, also organises various mooting workshops and activities to hone the mooting skills of students. It remains the only Indian University to emerge as the winners of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot as well as the World Rounds of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot.
About Moot Court Society
The Moot Court Society (MCS) of the National Law School of India University is a completely student- run committee entrusted with administering and facilitating all mooting related acivities at NLSIU. We at the MCS plan and organize the NLSTIAM and the NLSTIAC each year. We also organised the Asia Pacific rounds of the Manfred Lachs Moot in 2016 and 2017. In addition to that, we constituting the university moot teams to be sent to various prestigious moots across the world and facilitating their participation in the same. The same is done through a rigorous selection process organised by the committee. Finally, we constantly strive to maintain and improve the high mooting standards of the university and towards the same, organize workshops, webinars and offer students avenues to practice and develop their mooting skills.

Last year, we faced a massive challenge organizing the TIAM online, and are proud of the way we overcame it. This year, we endeavor to fully utilize our online resources to bring to the TIAM participants and judges who would have otherwise been unable to participate in the same and take the moot to even greater heights.
